BYLAWS
1. Above all else, we are in this to have fun. We will promote a positive outlook towards people with facial hair within our respective communities. We will achieve this through volunteering, charity, hosting or attending events or functions, and traveling to other competitions across the globe, representing the B.O.M.B.
2. Stated meetings shall be on the 3rd Thursday of every month.
3. There will be no dues or fees required by any member to participate in the club. Voluntary donations are welcome and appreciated.
4. We accept all forms of facial hair in the club. Every man chooses his own style and will not be discriminated against for that choice.
5. To be considered a voting member, you must attend at least 4 meetings a year. New members will not be considered voting members until they've made 4 meetings.
6. All voting members should strive to attend all of our events, fundraisers, charities, competitions, etc. but are only required to make at least 1 per year. New members will not be considered voting members until they have met this requirement. (Meetings do not count).
7. Additionally, all voting members are required to participate and/or compete in a facial hair competition at least once per year, representing the B.O.M.B., be it local or otherwise. New members will not be considered voting members until this requirement is met
8. Failure to meet the above criteria on a yearly basis will result in membership being reclassified from voting to non-voting member.
9. Only voting members can cast a vote concerning official club business.
10. Only voting members can be elected to the executive board (officers) which consists of a president, 3 Vice Presidents (1 for each of our 3 counties), a treasurer, and a secretary. The positions of BOMBassador and Minister of Technology are positions appointed by the president and are considered part of the E-board. Other positions or titles may be created and/or appointed as needed.
11. We will hold elections every October to decide who will fill the officer positions for the following year. Officially taking office in January. Nominations for the October election will be made at the September meeting. Members can not nominate themselves.
12. There are no term limits concerning the amount of times a person may hold an office.
13. When present at any meeting, event, function, competition, etc. as a B.O.M.B. member(voting or non-voting) or officer... common courtesy, good conduct, and common sense is expected as we never want the general public to perceive us in a bad light. The same rules apply to any situation where you may be wearing a B.O.M.B. shirt or back patch. Any serious violations will be dealt with on a case by case basis. The E-board will decide on appropriate action to be taken. In the event of an E-board member in violation, all remaining officers and all voting members will decide the appropriate action to be taken.
14. A minimum of 3 officers and at least 4 voting members are required to have a quorum at an official meeting.
15. Majority rules.
